The Arc Cafe Bar is a state of the art venue in plush yet relaxed surroundings close to Liffey Valley Shopping and Retail Centre, Dublin. While it doesn’t have its own coeliac menu, staff are coeliac aware and can guide you on which dishes can be adapted for gluten free eating.

Miss Courtneys Tearoom

This award winning, casual dining, quaint yet modern establishment is worth a visit. Tearooms are not somewhere traditionally associated with gluten free dining, however, here we are considered. Gluten free sandwiches are available at all times. Accompany that with the large selection of teas, coffees or even a hot chocolate.

Cafe Mocha is the prefect pitt stop if you’re out and about in Kilkenny. This wonderful cafe has a gluten free menu, just for us! The Alex restaurant is situated within the grand but welcoming surroundings of the Conrad Hotel in Earlsfort Terrace. This restaurant provides high quality seasonal produce both to residents and non-residents of the hotel. Staff are coeliac aware and will help you choose your gluten free dish.

Dillons

A magnificent ruined abbey presides over the pretty West Cork seaside village of Timoleague – a place with a long history as a culinary punctuation mark for travellers. Coeliacs are most definitely considered in this highly recommended restaurant, with gluten free dishes clearly marked on the menu.

Carluccios

Carluccios is a renowned Italian Restaurant that recently opening a branch in Dublin. The Dublin branch do have a specific gluten free menu, however, this isn’t evident when looking at their Dublin website. Don’t be put off though as they are very coeliac aware and like previously mentioned, there is a specific menu for coeliacs. This menu includes gluten free pasta and sauces and even has a couple of desserts that are suitable, like ice-cream or panacotta. La Palma

La Palma is centrally located in a fully refurbished Townhouse. Included on the premises is a cocktail bar. Anyone for a Bellini before dinner? This Italian inspired menu offers gluten free pasta and pizza on request. This is still a rare treat for us coeliacs, to be able to enjoy a wonderful pasta dinner without having to cook it. As for pizza, it’s almost like the holy grail of coeliacs.

Chilli Banana

This is a Thai Restaurant in the buzzing suburb of Drumcondra, close to Dublin centre. They don’t advertise themselves as offering gluten free food, however, there is plenty to choose from on the menu. As with many Thai dishes they are accompanied with rice which is naturally gluten free.

Richys Bar and Restaurant

Richys thrive on serving their guests with the best locally sourced produce and aim to meet their customers every need. It’s not just about the food or the service separately but the whole package. That includes coeliacs! Their menu is clearly marked as to which dishes are coeliac friendly.
