Theres a simple idea behind Fallon & Byrne, and it’s this. We believe in wonderful food, fine wine, great company. We put it on our shelves for you to take away. Or we serve it to you, in any of several ways. You choose. Fear not coeliacs, for this establishment is very coeliac friendly. Not only do they have a selection of gluten free food in their foodhall, they can cater for our diet in the restaurant. This makes it a great spot for lunch or dinner if you are about Dublin. They don’t have a separate menu, however they are coeliac aware and only too happy to advise and find you a good gluten free meal. Coppinger Row

Coppinger Row is a Mediterranean Restaurant in the centre of Dublin close to Dublin Castle, Trinity College and Grafton Street. The focus really is on sourcing quality ingredients that will provide the most flavour and for that reason they are very aware of what goes into food. They don’t have a coeliac restaurant as such, but they are aware and able to advise on dishes that are suitable or that can be adapted. Carluccios

Carluccios is a renowned Italian Restaurant that recently opening a branch in Dublin. The Dublin branch do have a specific gluten free menu, however, this isn’t evident when looking at their Dublin website. Don’t be put off though as they are very coeliac aware and like previously mentioned, there is a specific menu for coeliacs. This menu includes gluten free pasta and sauces and even has a couple of desserts that are suitable, like ice-cream or panacotta. Cafe Mocha

Cafe Mocha is the prefect pitt stop if you’re out and about in Kilkenny. This wonderful cafe has a gluten free menu, just for us! This is a stylish and affordable eatery in the centre of town. They have their brasserie menu clearly marked as to what dishes are suitable for coeliacs. Buenos Aires Grill

The Buenos Aires Grill is Irelands first Argentinean restaurant. They specialise in steaks from the hot grill, which are gluten free, without the sauces (check at point of ordering). They also have some fish dishes that are suitable for coeliacs. Staff are coeliac aware, so inform them at point of reservation or ordering that you require a gluten free meal.

Bang Restaurant

The Bang philosophy is great food at affordable prices in relaxed and informal surroundings. This restaurant is also recommended in the Michelin Guide for 2011, which is quite an accolade. Many of the dishes are suitable for coeliacs without any adaptation, just be sure to inform your server of your dietary requirements. Costelloes Malthouse

Costelloes in Clonakilty use the best of local artisan produced ingredients and local caught fish. A mecca for you foodies. The menu doesn’t have specific gluten free options marked, however due to the nature of the ingredients, you’ll find something tasty to eat. Discuss with waiting staff dishes that are suitable. Ashtons Bar and Bistro

The Restaurant has beautiful views over the River Dodder and Riverside Garden. This is a stylish and sophisticated but still a relaxed venue for a meal. They are a very coeliac friendly venue with staff having plenty of knowledge and coeliacs having our own menu. A great place to hook up with your friends and relax knowing you’ll have great gluten free food.
