Cafe Mocha is the prefect pitt stop if you’re out and about in Kilkenny. This wonderful cafe has a gluten free menu, just for us! Ristorante Rinuccini
Ristorante Rinuccini is a family owned and run multi award-winning Italian restaurant located in the heart of Kilkenny City. Italian fare isn’t always what coeliacs would choose, but don’t avoid this gem. They have plenty of antipasti starters and for mains, there are some amazing fish or meat dishes. All options that are suitable for coeliacs are clearly labelled on the menu,therefore, the staff are aware of this and ordering gluten free food is no big deal.
Miss Courtneys Tearoom
This award winning, casual dining, quaint yet modern establishment is worth a visit. Tearooms are not somewhere traditionally associated with gluten free dining, however, here we are considered. Gluten free sandwiches are available at all times. Accompany that with the large selection of teas, coffees or even a hot chocolate.
Carluccios
Carluccios is a renowned Italian Restaurant that recently opening a branch in Dublin. The Dublin branch do have a specific gluten free menu, however, this isn’t evident when looking at their Dublin website. Don’t be put off though as they are very coeliac aware and like previously mentioned, there is a specific menu for coeliacs. This menu includes gluten free pasta and sauces and even has a couple of desserts that are suitable, like ice-cream or panacotta. Coppinger Row
Coppinger Row is a Mediterranean Restaurant in the centre of Dublin close to Dublin Castle, Trinity College and Grafton Street. The focus really is on sourcing quality ingredients that will provide the most flavour and for that reason they are very aware of what goes into food. They don’t have a coeliac restaurant as such, but they are aware and able to advise on dishes that are suitable or that can be adapted. La Palma
La Palma is centrally located in a fully refurbished Townhouse. Included on the premises is a cocktail bar. Anyone for a Bellini before dinner? This Italian inspired menu offers gluten free pasta and pizza on request. This is still a rare treat for us coeliacs, to be able to enjoy a wonderful pasta dinner without having to cook it. As for pizza, it’s almost like the holy grail of coeliacs.
